The typical Virtual CFO engagement is structured as a monthly retainer covering: weekly cash-flow review with the founder/CEO, fortnightly MIS preparation against budget, monthly close oversight, quarterly board pack preparation, and ad-hoc support for vendor negotiation, banker discussions, or audit queries. For specific events — Series A/B fundraise, debt syndication, M&A, ESOP rollout, internal restructuring — we move to a project model with a defined deliverable and timeline. The CFO role is delivered by partner-level professionals, supported by analyst capacity for modelling and data work. We do not handle book-keeping as part of the CFO retainer — that runs as a separate engagement under our outsourcing practice — so the CFO can stay focused on decision-making.
